5 min. read

Mauro Mascioli passed the Prince2 Practitioner Exam version 2017, the newest one! We had chance to speak with Mauro to get his study tips and tricks. He shared his preparation and success story with us. Let’s read Mauro’s Prince2 Exam story and inspire from his tips to pass your Prince2 exam in your first attempt!

1- ) How long did you study for the Prince2 Practitioner Exam?

After completion of the Prince2 Foundation 2017 exam at the end of January, I started studying for Prince2 Practitioner 2017 exam on March for three weeks (6 days a week/6 hours). I passed the Prince2 Practitioner Exam at the end of March. During the last week, I focused on practicing the exam and reviewing my answers.

2- ) What was the biggest struggle when preparing for the Prince2 Practitioner 2017 Exam?

After I checked that my qualifications meet the Prince2 certification requirements, I started my Prince2 study. Although the Prince2 Practitioner Exam is an open book exam, the biggest struggle was dealing with the quantity of information to be read and organized for the exam. However, I managed to learn all important details and remember them easily with the help of Master of Project Academy’s training materials.

After helping over 200,000 professionals in more than 180 countries with a 99.6% first attempt pass rate, we have prepared a Prince2 study guide. Read this Prince2 study guide and create your own PRINCE2 prep plan accordingly.

3- ) How was the quality of PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification Training materials?

PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification Training materials of Master of Project Academy was really excellent. It helped me to save time and to fix ideas and most important concepts. It was not easy to get ready for the Prince2 Practitioner Exam since I have a full time job as well. At this point, self-paced and 100% online Prince2 Course of Master of Project Academy helped me a alot.

4- ) How much similar were the questions in real Prince2 Practitioner Exam when you considered?

I would say that they are similar in terms of formulation (phrases and terminology used). However, there were some different scenarios and a little bit longer and more descriptive questions as well. For this reason I would suggest to read, at least twice, especially the longer questions in order to understand what it is asked. If you cannot understand it, just skip the question and do not lose time. You can come back to same question later. This will save your time during the Prince2 Practitioner Exam.

5- ) How many sample Prince2 Practitioner Exam questions did you practice before the exam?

I exclusively focused on the two samples exams which were part of the PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification course from Master of Project Academy according to the instructions presented in the introduction. I practiced during the first and third week of my preparation for the exam.

6- ) How was the support you received throughout the PRINCE2® Practitioner Certification Training?

Precise and systematic: the course accurately follows the structure of the Prince2 Practitioner Exam manual with additional comments and examples. It has been very useful to fix concepts and ideas before taking the exam.

7- ) Do you have any recommendations for future Prince2 Practitioner 2017 candidates?

I have three recommendations for future Prince2 Practitioner Exam candidates:

  • Read and re-read carefully the questions as well as the answers!

As the exam is of multiple choice questions type, you will have to choose answers from various options provided in the questions. Primarily, observe the type of language used in the answers. Always avoid selecting answers that say “all, always, none, never, only”’.

  • Write notes in the manual:

For the fact that the Prince2 Practitioner Exam is an open book, prepare carefully the manual before the exam: write the key points and draw process diagrams in the manual which would be helpful for you.

  • Manage your time properly:

PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam duration is for 150 minutes (or 188 minutes for not native English speakers). So take your time and stay calm.

8– ) Do you have any tips for the Prince2 Practitioner Exam 2017 day?

  • Rest well avoiding to study the night before the exam.
  • If possible take your exam in the morning.
  • Read each question carefully.
  • Take your time without panicking (the time available is enough).
  • If necessary mark any question you are not sure of for review and come back to it later.
  • Use all the time available for the exam in order to double check your answers.

9- ) If you would give 3 tips to your close friend about Prince2 Practitioner certification exam and preparation, what would you recommend as part of your Prince2 Practitioner Pass Tips?

  • Focus on understanding the entire structure of the methodology (the course explains it very well)
  • Prepare carefully the official manual for the exam: write notes and a summary of the most important aspects for each chapter.
  • Practice, practice and again practice the sample exams.

10- ) Finally, how likely is it that you would recommend Master of Project Academy to a friend or Colleague?
